How It Works

Read

A fiction book from the New York Times Best Sellers list is assigned on the 1st of the month. You will have the entire month to read at your own pace. Please borrow titles from the library or purchase on your own.

Discuss

Discussions are scheduled at month end and take place at the Bay Shore Neighborhood Library. Discussion questions are emailed the week prior. We encourage most of the book to be read in order to attend.

Repeat

Our summer program covers one pre-selected fiction book per month, from June to September 2022. In the fall, we will repeat a similar schedule with a new set of books. You may attend as many discussions as you wish.

Community

“I love how this book club keeps your reading habit accountable. In today's world, it can be difficult to set aside time to read a book, so the schedule is really helpful.”

— Cassie Tu

“I'm a slower reader so there are times I need extra weeks to finish a book. I like how you can still attend the discussion even if you haven't fully finished reading. It's a judgement-free zone and a super inclusive event.”

— Jane Austin

“This is a great way to meet locals and connect through common interests! I've made some great friends here. I always feel seen and heard.”

— Robert Frost
